Mount Isa’s mining history began in 1923 with the discovery of lead ore. Since then, it has grown to become one of Australia’s largest copper producer.

Jetcrete has significant history with both Xstrata and Glencore. After being awarded the contract in late 2021, Jetcrete begun mobilising its fleet and personnel to Mount Isa.

Jetcrete’s scope of work consist of supply, deliver, and applying fibrecrete.

Mount Isa Mines utilises a slickline, which transports concrete products from the surface to underground 20L via a series of connected tubing to save on transportation time and mobile equipment wear-and-tear.
