After initial Shotcrete trials for Goldfeilds in 2003, Jetcrete set up an onsite batch plant at the Agnew operations to enable 24 hour, concrete, CAF and Shotcrete manufacturing. The concrete can either be transferred into a low profile Transmixer or delivered by an underground approved “road going” Concrete truck.
Some of the benefits of on site batching included cheaper costs to client, overall management of the manufacturing and delivery process resulting in faster development, increased production and the ability to design the mixes to perform to ground support requirements for any particular mine.
To date Jetcrete owns and operates 5 of its own batch plants in addition to operating 6 client and hire batch plants producing in of excess of 100,000m3 of shotcrete/GP concrete per annum.
Jetcrete also owns and operates 14 Concrete trucks in addition to 6 hire trucks and 9 Normet Transmixers in operation at various sites throughout Australia.
